Our Story

I want to share a little about me and the reason behind Of Clay & Kindred.

I’m a mom of four, living a life that’s beautifully full and a little chaotic. Outside of motherhood I love a good book, a cup of hot coffee, making sourdough and of course creating!

Art is more than a hobby it’s my grounding place by "me time". The noise fades, the chaos quiets, and I find peace.

When i started Carson Belle Designs I was in the midst of my postpartum journey after the traumatic delivery of my daughter. I was in a dark, tender place—and I needed something to anchor me. Creating became a way back to myself. The name Carson Belle tied together my married name and my maiden name—two parts of who I was at the time. As I've grown, healed & changed so has my vision. Bringing me to Of Clay & Kindred.

I wanted this space to represent more than just me. I wanted it to reflect the things I love, that inspire me, and the people I hope to gather here. Clay represents how something simple can be shaped into something intricate and meaningful. Kindred represents the way shared passions and love can draw kindred souls together and create a community.

I draw inspiration the things I love most. Florals, plant life, and motherhood. By books and worlds that have shaped me, comforted me, and reminded me that every chapter matters, even the hard ones.

My hope when you wear pieces I've created is that you feel seen. Connected. Like you belong. I hope the pieces you carry with you remind you of the things you love, the stories you hold close, and the quiet truth that even everyday chapters—especially the hard ones—are worth writing and worth reading.

Life pulls us in a million directions. Motherhood is loud. The days are full. But I keep creating because it brings me peace. It quiets the chaos. And it allows me to share a piece of myself with a community of kindred souls.
